link in bio for a photographer

28 Oct 2026 · 1 min read

A link in bio for a photographer: a few pictures, the session you book, and a note saved in the studio. Galleries you host elsewhere stay as links.

Pictures first, price second

A link in bio for a photographer is judged in one scroll. Put a short gallery or one strong image above the buttons. Then put the session: portraits, a wedding day, or a shop shoot.

Write the city and the next open month in the bio. A visitor from Instagram already saw the photos. They need to know if you shoot where they are.

What to link

Book a session, with the hours and the price written in plain text. A portfolio site, if you have a long one. A client album, as an https link. WhatsApp, if that is how you actually reply.

The booking request on this page is saved in Messages. There is no calendar and no payment. If you use a deposit link, add it as its own button and name it Deposit.

Do not upload the whole archive

A bio page is not a lightbox of every job. Six pictures and a link to the archive is easier to trust than a dump.

Name the pictures in the alt text. The page is public. So is the image.

One address on the card and in the bio

Print a QR code for the studio card and paste the same URL in Instagram. When the season changes from weddings to portraits, change the first button and publish.

The printed code keeps working because it points at the page, not at a single album.

Questions

Can I upload a gallery?
Yes. A gallery block holds images you upload. A client gallery that already lives on another site should stay a button.
Does a booking take a retainer?
No. A request is saved. A retainer is an https link to the invoice you already send.
