how to update a link in bio

How to update a link in bio: edit the draft, publish when the public page should change, and leave the address in the bio where it is.
Change the page, not the address
How to update a link in bio is a change in the studio, then a publish. The line you already pasted in Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or on a card stays. People keep using the same address. They see the new buttons only after you publish.
That is the point of the page. Friday’s video, today’s menu, and next month’s class should not each demand a new URL in the bio. Edit the button that changed.
The draft is not the public page
Editing does not update visitors. The studio holds a draft. If you stop halfway, the last published page is still what opens. Use that when the new menu is not ready to be seen.
Publish when the public page should match the shop or the channel. Read the draft on a phone first. Every button should be https. A leftover example.com link will send a real visitor somewhere that is not yours.
Update one button, or schedule it
Replace the video URL, the map, or the WhatsApp number, and leave the other buttons. You do not rebuild the page for a single change. Publish after the one edit.
A button can have a start and an end. The Sunday market appears when it starts and leaves when it ends. The whole page can also open later or stop being public on a schedule. Until it is public, do not promote the address.
Change the username only when you mean a new address
The username is the path people type and the path printed on a QR code. Changing it breaks the old address. Paste the new one everywhere the old one appears, including Instagram and any card already in the drawer. Old paper will not follow the rename.
The display name, the sentence, the photo, and the buttons can change as often as you publish. Those do not change the URL. Prefer those edits. Treat a new username as a new print run.
Publish again if the first publish was wrong
There is no separate rewind. If you published a typo or a sample link, fix the draft and publish again. The public page becomes that draft. People who already have the tab open may need to refresh.
Check from the app, not only from the studio. Open Instagram or YouTube, tap the website field, and confirm the new button is the one you just published. A cached look at the draft is how an old menu stays in the bio by mistake.
Change Friday’s video without touching Instagram
The about box already says makemylink.space and your name. In the studio, open the video block, paste the new watch link, and keep the label if it still says Latest video. Publish. Open the about box on a phone and play it. The Instagram website field does not get a new paste.
A menu change is the same motion. Replace the menu link, or the sentence that names today’s bowl, and publish. WhatsApp stays. The map stays. People who bookmarked the page yesterday land on the new menu.
A button you only need on Sunday gets a start and an end. You do not delete the page on Monday. When the window ends, that button leaves and the rest remains. If the whole page should stay private until a date, schedule the page, and do not promote the address yet.
If you published the wrong link, fix the draft and publish again. Tell anyone who already has the tab open to refresh. There is no second public copy sitting behind the first one.
Do not rotate the bio link itself
Some people replace the Instagram website field every Friday with a new video URL. Then the old stories point at old videos, and the shop disappears until the next swap. Put the stable address in the field once. Update the page behind it.
The same habit applies to a Google listing, a Facebook Page, and the YouTube about box. One paste. Many publishes. The clicks in the studio then belong to one page, so you can see which button is used.
Questions
- Do I have to paste the link again?
- Only if the username changed. A new video or a new menu is a publish. The line already in Instagram or YouTube can stay.
- What do people see while I edit?
- The last published page. The draft is private until you publish.
- Can I take a button down without deleting the page?
- Yes. Remove it, or give it an end time. Then publish. The rest of the page stays on the same address.
