what to put on a link in bio

What to put on a link in bio: one action at the top, then the shop or the channel, a WhatsApp chat, and a short bio in your own words.
Start with the action, not the autobiography
What to put on a link in bio depends on the tap. The person already came from Instagram, YouTube, a poster, or a QR code. They need the next step, not your whole story.
Write the name, a one-line bio, and a face. Then put the thing you want this week at the top: the latest video, the menu, the session, or the fund.
A usable order
Under the first button, add the places a person might need next. A creator adds the channel, a membership, and a shop. A counter adds location and WhatsApp. A musician adds listen, tour dates, and merch.
Social icons are for the networks, not for repeating the same job as the first button. Keep the labels plain: Menu, Latest video, Book a fitting, Donate.
Leave out what the page cannot do
Do not put a button that promises a payment on this site. Checkout belongs on the https page you already use. Do not promise that a contact note will arrive by email. It is saved in the studio for you to read.
Do not paste a sample link. example.com is not your shop. Publish only when every button opens a real https address.
Review it on a phone
The bio traffic is a phone. Read the first screen without scrolling and check that the first button is the one you meant.
When the week changes, edit the draft and publish. The address in the bio stays the same.
Questions
- How many buttons should the first screen have?
- Lead with one action. Three to five buttons is enough for a first page. More links can sit under them.
- Can I hide a button until a date?
- Yes. A link can carry a schedule. Visitors see it when that window is open.
