Link in bio not working Instagram: the website was not saved, the URL is wrong, or the page was never published. Check Links in the app, then tap the profile on a phone.
Start with the saved website
Link in bio not working Instagram is usually the Links list, not the caption. Open the app, tap Edit profile, tap Links, and read the address. Instagram’s help page says this edit is not available on a computer. A browser session that looked finished may never have written the website. Repeat it on the phone.
Read the address character by character
The public URL is makemylink.space and the name you claimed. A missing dot, an extra space, or http instead of a real path will not open the page. Usernames are letters, numbers, and hyphens.
If Links shows an old vendor, that is the page people open. Replace it only when the new page is already published. Removing the row makes the bio line disappear. It does not delete the page on this site.
Publish, then tap as a visitor
A draft is not public. Visitors see the last published page, or nothing. Publish, leave the studio, open your profile, and tap the website. You should see the buttons you just checked, including the platform mark on a free page.
Sample example.com buttons fail this test. Replace them before you announce the profile. A button that opens the wrong shop is a working link with the wrong destination. Edit that button and publish again.
Cache and more than one website
If the phone shows an old line, close the app and open Links again. The list in Links is the saved one. The first website is the one in the bio. Reorder if the shop should be first.
“And others” means more websites are behind the first. A visitor who taps only the visible line never sees the rest. Keep the important page first.
TikTok fails for a different reason
Link in bio not working TikTok, when the field is missing, matches TikTok’s rule: a general account needs at least 1,000 followers, or the account is a verified business. Switching a label without verification does not add the website.
Build the page now. Paste it when TikTok shows Add next to Links. Until then, the profile cannot hold the URL, no matter what the caption says.
What a working tap looks like
The profile opens a public page. The first button matches the latest post. A second tap leaves for YouTube, the shop, or WhatsApp. A click is stored after that. It is not proof the video was watched.
If the page opens and the button is wrong, the link works. Change the page. If the profile has no website, the link was never there.
